U3A Atlantic Seaboard is a learning and social co-operative for senior citizens from all walks of life. No qualifications are required and none are given.

Our objective is to be a university in the original sense of the word. An egalitarian community of teachers and learners, sharing interests and enthusiasms. There is a very real need for accessible and stimulating educational opportunities at a stage in life when people can expect to have more free time for self- development and much needed social contact.

U3A's are democratic, self-funded, self-managed non-profit organisations, open to people who wish to exercise their minds by learning and helping others to learn through participating in courses, discussions and activity groups covering a wide range of subjects. Activities are held during the daytime on weekdays, which suits retired people.

Monthly Speaker Meetings are held on the second Thursday of each month at Western Cape Bridge Union, Bridge Centre, Green Point. Please click on 'Monthly Speaker Meetings' in the top menu for details.

Members may participate in any of the courses and activities run by U3A Atlantic Seaboard and any other U3A in South Africa. Details of these may be found on our website and are also sent by email to our members. The cost to attend a course is nominal.
