Friends Writing Group

10 am Second Monday of each month

Venue: The Retreat, Argyle Street, Camps Bay

We are a small and friendly group, which is proud to include two published authors together with a number of writers of varying abilities. Our style is to prepare and read stories of our choice at meetings, followed by offering constructive encouragement, comments and suggestions.

We welcome new members, and look forward to welcoming you, and your input.

Bridge for Experienced Players and Beginners

Theatre Club

The Theatre Club was launched in February 2026, since when new members continue to increase on our whatsapp group. Everyone can contribute to suggestions of what productions to see, and we collectively agree on the best meeting place and plans for this delightfully social and cultural group. Matinees make popular timing, preceded by lunch when possible. There is no commitment to regular bookings.

Recent shows include Pretty Woman and Pirates of Penzance at Artscape, Agatha Christie’s Murder of Robert Ackroyd at Theatre on the Bay, and Prima Facie at the Baxter Theatre.
